Why must investors register?
Some angel investor wonder why they should pay a registration fee to have access to the opportunities on our database.
The reasons for this are:
- To protect the commercially sensitive position of the businesses on our database we need the investors to complete our questionnaire and provide us with a copy of their CV and we need to cover the costs of our administrative time to process this information.
- Also, we have discovered that not all investors are genuinely looking to invest, paying a fee is a token of a genuine interest to find an business to invest in. Many business are more willing to register knowing that investors have also paid a registration fee.
- We have found that genuine investors who have been successful in business understand the value of our service and gladly pay our adminstrative fee. They respect that we have worked out a good business model that keeps this equity matching service alive when many have failed over the years.
- The fee also pays for our time to ascertain the investors suitability for the business. Some businesses seek angels with particular skills. Rather than employ a financial administrator or operations/sales/marketing manager, they have chosen to work with an angel investor / business partner who they perceive will be more commercially accountable.
- By submitting a profile to be matched on the database angel investors often discover that there are more appropriate opportunities than the one they were initially attracted to. The fee pays our costs to do this matching on your behalf.
- If the investor is looking for a specific opportunity, by registering with us a profile appears on this website which can attract a suitable business.
- Also, the database is dynamic and an opportunity can easily be missed if each participant's details are not registered - this is the secret of our intuitive database technology.
Our angel investors tell us that paying a fee to register with us was more than worthwhile.
